With our final post on mike’s interview, this blog will come to its end. Gryffindor has now been taken over by a new breed of players, using different guild policies and different style of leadership.

Unless leewd would like to continue with blogging here, this shall be our final post.

Stay connected, stay online in Luna BlueLand. My friends and I will be back soon with a new name, a new guild and a new brand. We promise to bring you a new blog too.

The word “end” is also an acronym for “…. our Energy Never Dies!”

They say, Rome is not built in one day. But this guy, he did exactly that, establishing the ancient Rome here in our BlueLand since September and leading the guild to become one of Luna’s most successful guilds we have ever seen.

Ancient Rome was once a great monarchy led by its 7 kings, from Romulus to Tarquinius, before it was finally overthrown by aristocratic leaders who changed Rome in a Republic. Much later into history, following the death of Caesar, the rise of the Roman Empire began. Here in virtual BlueLand our AncientRome too had its fair share of great history. It was rumoured that our AncientRome is the regrouping the guild formerly known as “Chibi”, have a good mix of high level, controversial as well as outdaring players.

We have been quite intriqued with the rise and fall (and rise again ) of AncientRome and therefore set out our next quest to interview the man behind the walls of this mighty empire. He is the one, the one who took the trouble to continue  the legacies of the trojan Prince Aeneas (kakakakaka!) ; he is mikedarren, BlueLand’s Guild Master for AncientRome.

Gryffindor: Good day to you Mike and welcome to Gryffindor’s tabloid column where we would regularly present selected individuals from BlueLand in question and answer style interviews. To start this interview, tell us about your real self, who you are, where you are from, what do you do for a living and how did you get yourself started in your journey in BlueLand.

-Call me Michael with surname Teo,I born in batu Pahat Johore.Currently Working as business manager in manufacturing line.
-well I started luna because of my colleague influence,its just like a Virus & drive me crazy.
-A secret/surprise to share with you…..this is my very first online game I ever play^^LOL p;-)

Gryffindor: Tell us a little bit concerning your character mikedarren, what is your job or class, your level rankings how long did it took you to reach where you are today.

-Actually I’m totally noob in this game in the first time,I don’t ever search the web for more information…The 1st job change to guard which I dislike(due to lack of research and study) Cause there is no AOE skill and hard to lvling>’< also need a lot of mana.. That time really “CHAM” no gold to buy pot…but luckily I meet frog…haha,he did advise me how to lvling fast…^^
-My job path is fighter>guard>merch>knight and what I enjoying the most is While I in job merch -High Attk(2H green sword+7) & acceptable Def(rare armor) When lvling. Its took me about 7 months to reach Lv80 although is slow but is really enjoyable.

Gryffindor: A lot of players in BlueLand who opted for the job 2 hand sword warriors, usually complained about great difficulties in training and having need to use huge amounts mana or hp potions. But this does not seem to be a hindrance to you as you are now one of our top ranking warrior. What’s your secret?

-Yes,they are right.2 H sowrd warrior not easy to lvling unless u have pt with healer(the best is cleric or priest) & just taking mana(suggest buy both higest water mana and highest mana you can earn back by killing
mob)
-I did search a web from Taiwan teaching to be 2H merch lvling fast and Skill lv up.Try the below link…

a)The secret of this job path is kill fast(high attk) but its depend how hard u drive your lvling and patient.
b)craft your own heavy armor from lv55 onwards
c)Hunt green 2h sword+7 plus a gg+7 shield & you will enjoy the lvling.

Gryffindor: Your eqs, tell us about your armor gauntlets and boots. What are they and do you craft them all by yourself?

-Mostly I buy from others(lazy to craft…lol) if the stat is good. Armor using now is Pheonix Plate Heavy Armor,armor+7 vit+34/str+28, Gauntlets+6 Vit+18/str+23/spi+5,boots+6 vit+40/spi+5,Helmet+5 wis+23/spi+10

Gryffindor: Again another question on warrior eqs, as per your opinion what do you think is the best of best for say a level 80 warrior, including armors, gauntlets, boots, headgears and weapons and what are the reasons supporting your choices for these eqs?

-My opinion is just base on as 2h sword knight with shield. Total shield,gauntlet,armor,boot headgear,weapon,accessories and stat enchant must not below than:- Vit +155, Str +270 (without buff 1777 physical attk & def 1645)and I suggest to add wis and spi stat to improve mana recharge and magic def.

Gryffindor: You are the leader of one of BlueLand’s biggest guilds; AncientRome. What inspired you to use the elite name AncientRome and why AncientRome?

-Good question!!!^^ This guild name actually had discuss before the server merge with my VP LittelLovely & PuiPui & Frogbyz about the god of rome and we find a link to this web http://www.unrv.com/culture/major-roman-god-list.php . If you notice our nick,you will find that is a rome god name & it have a meaning on it.
Feel free to check this web as above mention.
-I decide to use this as my guild name because its show every of my members as mighty as the God of Rome.

Gryffindor: Tell us a bit more about AncientRome, your team leaders and your members and if someone is keen to join AncientRome, how would you be doing your “selling”?

-Actually I just invite them(low lv) to be apprentice and those lv over 40  I will ask them before adding them into the guild for being an active member.I never promote or telling them AncientRome is in Top10 guild. My style doing is “voluntary participation and mutual benefit”.Because I do believe a guild did not belong to a person but is every single member. As long as the leader can lead the guild to glory,the members will sure stand and fight for him/her.

Gryffindor: In the past we noted from the forums that you did got yourself embroiled in arguments or accusations about the presence of hackers in AncientRome. We were unable to detect a clear standing from either you
or your members in the forums so what are your comments again on these issues and does AncientRome too actually support the notion that hackers should be allowed in BlueLand? Yes or no, why?

-AncientRome will not say yes or no to hackers because we are player not a judge.What I know is just come in to have fun & don’t disturb others player. Concerning this topic,I will like to ask a question about a guild name call Agogosayang,are they worst than hackers?

Gryffindor: Concerning guild wars, do you think wars should be encouraged in BlueLand? Yes or no, why?

Yes,war is needed in luna or else will be too boring^^hahaha but I prefer friendly war…

Gryffindor: If someone approaches you and ask for your advise on how to create and build up a successful guild like yours, how would your advise to him or her be like?

-This question is hard to commend here but theoretically a very basic
crtiria must have enough gold(around 20mil I think) & at least 10active lv40 above members and 2 strong active VP(lv70) to support the guild. Secondly is the GM/VP need always to motivate the members.
Thirdly this need to always remember respect and listen your VP/elder advise.

Gryffindor: Again if someone walks up to you and say he aspires to be like you and would like to be a top ranking warrior, how would you advise him or her what to do?

-Go heavy armor,2h green sword with shield. 2H sword with shield character go +8 str and +1vit(my opinion) choose path guard>merch>knight.Later lv75 change job need reset skill to go full physical & magic def.Of course by that time you can learn a skill call enchant HP. Gryffindor: If we ask you to name 3 of your most favoured players, who would they be and why?

-Wow too many friend don’t know start from where>”<
a)PuiPui-he start luna after 1 month after I play and actually we work in the same office^^I feel that playing luna can’t be only having cycber friend but a real life friend more important.We discuss regarding luna in our personal time others than our work when lunch or tea break..can you imagine how we having fun and common frequency in the game^^.

b)LittleLovely-she is really fun if you lvling with her because she will really “suan” and make you laugh till you cry…Don’t believe…try it^^

c)This is the last one,my very sweet memory & because of her I stay in luna game…..she is LovelyChunLee,I will still remember our first meet in the way to howling and she will always pm looking for me once on9^^but if I don’t she will know where to find me…hahaha(behide the rock afk^^) From that onwards,we date every day and night.This is my most wonderful & sweet memory I ever have in luna. Thanks Lisa ,you make me feel alive and not just working for money only^^.

Gryffindor: We seem to be nowhere near Chapter 3 at all and if Runup decides not to release it for the next 12 months, will you still be training in HC2F or would you rather stop and wait or quit Luna altogether? Whatever your answer is, tell us why.

-If Runup doing so,I have no choice but to train another job character of course my main id still lvling in HC2F.I don’t think I gonna be bore cause new job & character will need to take a lot of my time to study.

Gryffindor: Next will be our favourite question and we will not likely be missing this question with anyone; in 3 words, what is your opinion about Runup, the company operating Luna Online in Malaysia and Singapore?

Gryffindor: Gryffindor is always searching for proactive ideas to promote Luna Online as a healthy platform for fun, entertainment, communication and self-discipline training. How would you suggest we do to make BlueLand
into a conducive environment and how do we make Alker town a more happening place for all?

-We should have community of top 10 guild gm sitting down to discuss,as I believe 1 hand can’t clap.We need to start from the basic and I believe the top 10 guild gm will influence others.

At approximately 4.15pm today, I have invited leewd to our guild and transferred the GM position to him.

This week shall be my last week in Gryffindor

Hello Gryffindorians & visitors,

By this Wednesday or Thursday, Gryffindor will have a new leader, a new Guild Master. Leewd from DarkTeam has agreed to take over the helm and to continue Gryffindor’s cause and visions.

This guild started off as a 6 player team and today we became a frontrunner in Luna MY/SG. Thanks to the efforts by all Gryffindor members as it would not have been possible for us to achieve what we have achieved without your inputs.

In fact, I dare not call ourselves the top guild in Luna. Just that we accidentally became number one after the much unexpected server merger between Malaysia and Singapore. From then on, we never looked back.

We still hold high regards for guilds like Fantasy, EvilRules, SmartSweet and CentralCentury. These are the true top guilds in our BlueLand. If not for the merger, they would not have lost their Level 6 statuses.

I will take a short break after this Thursday, and then I will be back with a new Level one guild. Perhaps I may hang around in Ruins of Draconian, asking newbies to join my new guild.

Some of you have been extremely loyal to me and may be quitting Gryffindor and following me. I’m truely grateful for the faith and trust the few of you placed in me.

Nevertheless in every change, there will be some shakeups or minor upsets. But I believe leewd will not be facing much of an obstacle to strengthen Gryffindor further. The foundations have been laid and the pillars have already been built. It’s just a matter of taking over the torch and to continue on with the journey.

Anything else or questions, I’ll think and answer them later once I’m back from my short break. Till then, I’m badly in need of relaxation.

We are reaching the end of the month once more. And the time has come again to pick a new winner for Gryffindor’s Member of the Month (November 2009).

In this post, we thought of bring you something light and refreshing, something we can all look forward to at a later date when Runup releases the Chapter 3 maps. Using our ID in GPotato, we took a quick walk around The Valley of Fairy and captured some images here for everyone to see.

Once you enter, the initial impression is pretty refreshing,
everything is so green & “environmentally friendly”

The first mobs we met, the ladies; Fierce Plantis & Fixy
level 83 and level 84 respectively

Further up, we met the NPCs, a fat man & a blonde

Next we bumped into a level 82 “unicorn” like mob
called Pegasus, alongside several other Fixies

To access the West side of the Valley of Fairy, you have
to make your way to the Northern section by crossing
a waterfall known as Crying Waterfalls in GPotato

And we really meant crossing the waterfall!

After which we met the horrid looking Trend, a level 83 mob,
Trend appears to be made out from tree logs & its size is
similar to Golems in our current maps

Opps, our level 14 ID is too weak to even get pass the Trends

As we go deeper, we saw the half human-like & half horse-like
Kentauros a level 82 mob (wow, Luna is becoming
more and more like the magical world of Harry Potter)

At the center, there’s a town called Faerie Thief Town
and here you find lots of level 86 Black Widow Scouts

We tried to access further into Faerie Thief Town, but there are too many Scouts preventing us from doing so. Our tourist ID died several times in the attempt.

Perhaps we’ll train up our ID and better equip it for future sight seeing missions and we hope to be able to bring you more visuals of Chapter 3.

This coming 18th November 2009, our friends and members from the fifth & sixth forms shall be entering their exam halls for their SPM and STPM finals.

A very good Monday to all of you. Mine was sort of hectic and I have to squeeze time to login in to BlueLand, get some images and do this post here.

I’m keeping the pressure on Runup; reminding them that they still owe us the new maps. So I decided to write a few words and share with you all what I really look forward to in Chapter 3; I want to kill the Tarintus Dragon!

At a certain stage in our journey in BlueLand, we would have come across a strange quest available from Princess Luna in Alker Harbor known as “Sealing of Demon Dragon”.

This quest is the prerequisite for any player wanting to take a shot at the Tarintus Dragon, which unfortunately, shall only appear when Chapter 3 is published. So it is pointless to perform this quest now, as the Dragon won’t appear yet in our current maps.

Nevertheless, I made some rounds, took some pictures and searched Google for images of the Tarintus dragon from other servers, and here’s what I got.

Then make your way to the center of Dark Portal,
a dead end map rightly after Dried Gazel Fall

The atmosphere in the middle is pretty awesome !

Of course, if Chapter 3 & the Dragon is ready,
we can proceed to roll the quest in hand ….

Once the seal has been injected, we’re suppose to be
transported to a new map to face this guy above;
the Tarintus Dragon

Here’s a SS of a team of players from another server,
attempting to defeat the Dragon. Out of 7 of them,
only 2 remained alive during that moment

It took a full 7 member party to finish off the dragon in about 8 to 9 minutes. And most of them died several times in the process.

Challenging enough? But first we have to pester Runup for the new maps.

LoL! While going to see Princess Luna, I spotted these 3 from Exodus guild; PhoenixFire, Arik4 and xHoshix, all seated nicely in a straight row in Alker. I chat, they didn’t respond. Hmm, must be having some kinda Monday prayer meeting. Better not disturb them….
